Compromise Agreement

Pipes on this little beauty burst on sunday. It then flooded my kitchen. The light in the bathrooom is also broken.

Is this the joy of home owning?

I dont do art.

Why not? I've got eyes, ears, emotions. (ok the last one may be a slight exageration). But I've never been into ART? Over on The other blog there is a bit of art appreciation going on. Its great because its opened my eyes up to the possibilities. But this isn't going to be a pledge, or a task. Its a genuine attempt to broaden my tastes. I guess I'm like a blank canvas.

Electric

I love Thunder & lightning. We've had a lot of it over the last two nights. My older sister used to tell me that if I stared at it I would go blind. And that little lightning men come down the forks and steal naughty children.

I've been mesmerised with it ever since. Its  beautiful, powerful and (as far as i know) non child blinding. I was a pretty naughty kid too. No sign of those little men so far either.

Last of the Summer?

I hope not. I love a BBQ. Roll on the indian summer.

Panic

I slept very uneasily last night.

1) It was hot & humid

2) Nerves before Celtic play Man Utd

3) My friend Paul and his persuasion of me to start a blog.

The first point, I'm sure you'll all understand. The second, well you'll learn more of my irrational football fears, superstitions and rituals if you bother to keep reading.

But the third...oh the third. You see Paul's blog, Life in the middle, is everything you would want yours to be. Funny, sharply intelligent, insightful and is commented on in much the same way. (apart from that Lebowski bloke). But to be honest that isn't what kept me awake last night.

I'm worried that Paul might try and emulate, even better, a Blaine endurance stunt.

Read his blog. He runs marathons before work to see if he could'. He cycles 60km on his days off. He plans to run consecutive marathons before work. He's stopped eating crisps for gods sake. I just hope that by writing about Blaine I don't send him into endurance overdrive.

Actually...

...Its not magic, is it? I've never really been keen on Mr Blaines 'human endurance tests' or stupid shit. The boy can pull a decent card trick tho. He can't be all bad as he did pose for a few decent pics for me (but not the future wife.She's still bitter).
